Unit 3 - The ideal school

This unit has been quite important because it offers possibilities to face vocabulary in the classroom but the most important; it helps you to apply strategies to learn vocabulary before explanations and the use of the vocabulary itself. Unfortunately, I could not attend to the class and I didn’t participate on the creation of the video… so, I had to write my report. Anyway, I could infer the relevance of noticing grammar in the classroom; it is useful for our students because it lets us to apply several techniques with the same objective: adquire grammar in a practical way. I am in agreement. Spite of We don’t have many facilities in our schools but we as teachers, are responsible for doing our best effort in order to share our knowledge. my school I am going to talk about FERNANDO MAZUERA VILLEGAS school, which is located in Bosa. It is a big school with a lot of facilities but not enough for the community; the principal is a good manager and is attentive to every single need. Although, he sometimes forgets academic needs. On the other hand, we as other public schools have social students’ problems such as drugs, pregnancies and dysfunctional families. Moreover, there is a lack of time to plan classes since there are many institutional projects which need time as well. For instance: the 40 hours, the modality so on. In fact, there are many other problems that affect teaching – learning processes. In particular, big groups, public policies and students’ discourage. Spite of these facts, teachers try to do and solve many things; we become psychologists, parents, designers, and other roles to face our reality and to develop our curriculum.
